The event will feature musical performances, spoken word and stories from low wage workers, who will discuss the challenges they face as they fight for racial and economic justice, $15 an hour and union rights. Airport workers will speak out about the need to make anchor institutions like the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, whose workers are mostly Black and Immigrant, economic engines of good jobs with benefits and labor protections. Broward candidates and County Commissioners will be on hand to listen to those voices, as well as discuss their plans for how to lift up Broward’s communities of color.

After the event, faith leaders, elected officials and workers will lead a procession of voters to the polling site in the auditorium (Room 130) of the Fort Lauderdale Library ArtServe Building.
